At many locations short videos help bring the subjects to life, and many of them feature computer reconstructions of the earthworks to help you visualize their scope, beauty, and precision.

Our menus are organized into four main earthwork Sites and twelve Routes. The main sites are Fort Ancient, Mound City, Serpent Mound, and Newark Earthworks -- the main works now on the US Tentative List for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The twelve routes, clearly shown on the map, will take you to a variety of other earthworks and associated locations. Each Site and Route has its own web page with videos.
